A group coaching program for ambitious professionals ready to play the long game with their careers.

This month's theme is Job Seeking

The job market is tough right now, but you don’t have to navigate it alone.
Get support with finding opportunities, crafting applications, navigating interviews, and negotiating offers in a safe, supportive group coaching environment.

You don't have to do this alone.

Let's just say it out loud: Job searching is frustrating, time-consuming, overwhelming stressful, isolating, and anxiety-inducing – especially when the market is tough.

If any of these sound familiar, know you're not alone.

  • You only have so much time and energy and you're not sure how to allocate them to get the best results
  • When you try to make progress, you bounce between tasks because can't decide what will actually move you forward
  • Finding jobs that meet your needs and interests feels overwhelming or even impossible
  • You're struggling to convey your value in your applications and interviews
  • There's too much conflicting advice online about every step of the job search process and you can't make sense of it
  • The whole situation is an emotional rollercoaster with more lows than highs and you don't know how long you can last
  • You're talking to friends and family, but it's starting to feel like you're bothering them and their advice isn't helping very much anyway

If what you've been doing isn't working, it's time to try something new.

Joining The Office will help you:

  • Get clear on what kind of job you want
  • Find career opportunities that meet your needs
  • Craft resumes and cover letter that get callbacks
  • Nail your interviews with a compelling professional narrative
  • Negotiate the best possible job offer

And most importantly…

  • Conquer the crippling “is-it-just-me” feeling that plagues just about every job seeker, destroying their confidence, and making them settle for less than they deserve

I started working with Phoebe because I felt like I wasn't quite putting my best foot forward, and I wanted an experienced hand to help me "close the deal."

We worked on everything from resume tweaking, to interview prep, and follow-up emails. But the courses are what I found most useful, because they address every single aspect of the job hunt. They're detailed and highly practical, and they even include template emails for multiple different scenarios.

It was incredibly reassuring to know that I had a resource that I could refer to in any situation, and I did so many, many times. I highly recommend Phoebe to anyone who wants an HR professional on their side to help them deal with any and all of the issues that can come up during a job search.

What are Office Hours group coaching sessions like?

We'll come together on Google Meet for 30 minutes to dig into career topics. Sessions always start with a lesson on a career concept related to the month’s theme.

Our current theme is job seeking, so we'll start each session learning about a related topic. Then I'll open it up for questions and discussion. The discussion may stay with the lesson topic, but the time is yours to talk through what you need. Any career-related topic is welcome.

Office Hours are recorded, so it's ok if you miss one. The full replay is available for one week. Afterward, the recording is removed and split. The lesson is permanently added to The Resource Vault for your reference. The Q&A is permanently removed for your privacy.

When I first met with Phoebe, I was depressed, burned out, and couldn't see a way forward in my career.

Phoebe crafted a map to guide me through a career transition, and week by week, my confidence grew. I switched from an industry I felt hopeless in, earned a highly desired certification, and netted my first role in an exciting new career, which got me a 67% raise.

I feel restored, hopeful, and best of all, equipped for success. I'm no longer afraid to network and ask for what I need. I would recommend Phoebe especially if you're someone who's feeling hopeless and suffering from imposter syndrome. Phoebe will gas you up and get you going.

Monthly themes give The Office structure, but not rigidity.

Careers are sprawling things and "I don't know where to start" is one of the most common concerns I hear in coaching. So themes are meant to solve that problem by giving you something to focus on if you're overwhelmed.

This month's theme is job seeking. If you're on the hunt for a new position, you'll get a lot of value out of joining The Office now. Throughout the month, I'll be posting tips, teaching strategies, and answering questions about how to find a job – even in a crappy economy like we have right now.

Plus you'll be able to dig into my mega-course, The Job Seeker's Vault for additional support (more on that down the page.)

Want help with something outside the month’s theme?Just ask! Each Office Hours session starts with a topical lesson aligned with the month’s theme, but Q&A is wide open for any career related topic. Attend live to get support on the challenges front of mind for you – even if it’s not related to the session’s topic or month’s theme. The course materials included in The Office go beyond our theme as well, so I'll point you in the right direction there too.

Ultimately, monthly themes are in service of solving pressing career challenges and helping you invest in your career growth consistently.

This month's theme is job seeking, but future themes are up to you:

Future themes will include:

  • Networking
  • Personal branding
  • Designing career pivots
  • Long-term career planning
  • Office politics
  • Managing up
  • Negotiating raises and promotions
  • Work-life boundaries and balance
  • Navigating difficult colleagues
  • and more!

Themes will be chosen based on your feedback, patterns in the labor market, and what’s dominating the cultural conversation around work – but mostly your feedback.

"I just wanted to quickly update you on my interview and search to say that I was offered the housing org job this week and officially accepted. Thanks to your guidance I brought a different sensibility to the interview. And I must have done something different, because they offered me a higher level position than the one I initially applied for."

"Negotiating compensation has always terrified me so much that I've never tried. Before working with you, I would simply take the first offer and end up feeling like I might have left money on the table. Because I have!

So, after working with you and getting more comfortable with the idea of negotiation I used your tips along with what I learned from your interview course and applied during my job search. The interview sandwich answer from your workshop TOTALLY WORKED! I was moved to the next level in the interviewing process. Within a short time span, I got an offer that increased my salary by 34%!

By giving better and more impactful answers during the interview process, I could see the hiring managers were close to yes. So when it was time to talk compensation, I felt empowered and didn't worry about asking for more once I received an offer. And guess what? The company matched my counteroffer! Thank you, Phoebe!"
